Description

These are six STIX (rods) designed to cover all of your bass fishing needs. From every variety of lure and presentation style. The basis around this lineup was versatility over creating a single purpose rods. Each STIK was designed to be ergonomic for both taller and shorter anglers alike. The butt ends had as much thought placed into them as the overall taper in being able to properly distribute a large variety of lure weights as well as leveraging steady hooksets. Being up on the times we at STIX realized we have reached a new era of high performance fishing lines from fluorocarbons and braids and even new advanced co-polymers and designed our models accordingly. All of our STIX are heavy duty high modulus composite rods with carbon nano mesh (Carbon Nano Technology). What’s does that mumbo jumbo mean??? Simple, very light and powerful and can bend evenly without having to create shut off points which is old technology from using older lines. Each rod has a downward open facing hook keeper preventing anglers from having to pull hooks back out from Texas rigged plastics. Next to the STIX logo you’ll find a bump board style scale to measure your fish quickly and conveniently. Each rod is also color coded to make the selection process faster.

I will attest that this a versatile rod and would handle any technique advertised. The tip is soft enough for working baits but there is a good backbone that can jam even some heavy gauge hooks into a fish’s jaw. So far this has been my frog rod. I can walk a frog easily and haul a bass out of cover with it. Most of the time I am using 50 pound braid and a high speed reel with the drag locked down and the bass have not stood a chance. This summer I will also be using it for jigs, Texas rigging, Carolina rigging, and big topwater lures. Look forward to another review on how it does with those for me. I think I will have to get a second surface stik in the future to do it all.

Stix #5: I was missing hook sets on long casts with flouro and no-jack jig hooks, this rod does the trick! It has just the right back bone and just the right tip, something I’ve grown picky about. I highly recommend this versatile rod for throwing A-rigs, frogging, smaller glide baits, jigs with No-Jack hooks, etc. I am also impressed with the dead lift capability of these rods. If I have to boat flip a 10lber one day, I know this rod will not fail me 🙂 Also, I have found that the staff at Stix Fishing is TOP notch and they stand by their products. You will not regret buying this rod or buying from Stix Fishing!
